I have been actively working within the recovery community since 2016 by first desperately trying to understand what recovery actually looks like.

Ultimately, I was led with a group in 2019 to open a  women’s rehabilitation home that encompassed all the traditional structure found throughout this industry.  In 2020, my husband and I purchased a sober living home, "Caylee’s House", so our graduates can remain living with recovery accountability long term.  People cycled in and out of the main rehab but those who stayed in Caylee’s house long term were overwhelmingly successful, including our very first resident Sam, in 2019.  Our successful graduates all remain connected to their chosen recovery family to this day. 

In 2024, by God I stepped away from that rehabilitation home with two of our graduates, and founded Stronger Together, NFP out of Caylee’s House.  In 2025, we purchased and began rehabilitation of our current 4600 sq foot log home situated on 7 acres known as Magnolia House.  Thankfully we have throughout the years realized that what works is a desire to change ones life and the complete ability to do so.  So we stripped away all the rules designed to make one submit to the will of another, including the belief there is only one way to achieve lasting recovery, and we chose to create the atmosphere of a loving, supportive family.

My daughter would tell me no matter how good she was, her past always stood in the way.  I vowed to make that different for as many people as I can.  But I/We cannot do it alone.  12 Step meetings work.  But it isn’t necessarily the teachings in the big book that changes everything, but it’s the genuine connection that is formed within those walls.  WE work hard to carry that unity into our home to provide the kind of family atmosphere our residents do not want to leave.  We encourage our residents to remain a year but there is no “graduation date” and we offer Caylee’s House to our senior residents so they can remain indefinitely.  Additionally, my husband Beau and I own a manufacturing facility and a separate packaging distribution company which provides real career opportunity to those in recovery, including our former “rehab” graduates, and current Stronger Together residents.  

All of this has created a new life of people, places, and things where true recovery success is being achieved.  And finally, as Jessica always says, we encourage giving away what is so freely given to us, so we stay connected to be a part of the next woman’s journey.   Forming a strong community has proven successful thus we woman of ST are committed to doing life together.

My passion for recovery is deeply personal because addiction once had a hold on my life. I know what it feels like to be broken, lost, and searching for hope. But I also know the incredible power of God's love, grace, and redemption.

I believe that every person struggling with addiction is a beloved son or daughter of our Heavenly Father. No one is too far gone for His mercy, and no life is beyond His ability to restore. God used people who loved me, prayed for me, and reminded me of my worth in Christ when I couldn't see it for myself. Through their faithfulness and His unfailing grace, I found healing, hope, and a new purpose.

Every day, more people lose their lives to addiction, and my heart breaks for those who feel trapped in darkness. Recovery programs rooted in love, compassion, and faith can become the hands and feet of Jesus, offering hope to those who believe there is none. Sometimes all it takes is one person willing to walk beside someone and remind them that they are seen, loved, forgiven, and never alone.

My calling is to give away what God so freely gave to me. I want to walk alongside those who are hurting, point them to the hope found in Christ, and remind them that their story is not over. I want others to know that no matter how broken they feel, God still has a purpose for their life, and through Him, healing, freedom, and restoration are possible.
